The Middle Eastern sandwich has loads of veggies stuffed in it. You can make this sandwich tastier and spicy by adding different hot sauce and garlic in it. Here are the ingredients you would need to prepare this sandwich;

Ingredients For Vegetarian Sandwiches

For Tzatziki Sauces;

  • Greek Yogurt: 1 Cup
  • Cucumber: Chopped
  • Red Onion: Grated  
  • Fresh Mint: Chopped
  • Olive oil, Lemon and Salt

For Tabbouleh:

  • Bulgur Wheat (Cocked): 1 Cup
  • Chopped Scallions: 2 Tablespoons
  • Parsley: Finely Chopped 
  • Chopped Mint: 1 Tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice: 1 Tablespoon
  • Olive Oil
  • Finely Chopped Tomato and Cucumber: ½ cup each 

For The Sandwich:

  • Pita Bread: 1 
  • Tzatziki: 2 Tablespoons
  • Lettuce: 1/4 cup
  • Chopped Cherry Tomatoes 
  • Chopped Red Onion 
  • Tabbouleh: 2 tablespoons
  • Feta Cheese: 2 tablespoons
  • Mint and Parsley leaves

How to Prepare Tzatziki

In a bowl, add all the vegetables, greek yogurt, lemon juice of half lemon, olive oil approximately one tablespoon, salt, and black pepper (optional). Mix all the ingredients. Check the thickness of Tzatziki. If it is too thick, then you can add water in it slowly. Consequently, stir the paste until you get the desired texture.   

How To Make Tabbouleh

Add all the ingredients in a bowl. Finally, add lemon juice and salt to give it a tangy taste. To bring out the perfect taste and texture of Tabbouleh, let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.

How To Make Vegetarian Sandwiches

Heat a pan and apply some butter on it so that bread won’t get a stick on it. Notably, you can also place pita in a preheated microwave. Let the pita get soft and pliable and then take it out from microwave or pan. Now it’s the time to apply Tzatziki in the center of pita. Place Tabbouleh, lettuce, onion, tomato, and all other ingredients including feta cheese in the bread and serve it.
